Adhesion. Any weapon or creature striking an adherer deals only half damage and will become stuck to its skin in the process. Creatures using natural weapons are automatically grappled if they get stuck. Likewise, the adherer sticks to any creature it successfully hits with its slam attack. Only stone weapons are immune to the foul-smelling and sticky secretions of the adherer. Any creature can attempt to free a creature or item with a dc 12 Strength check on a failure the creature become also stuck to the adherer.
Suffocation. The adherer can use its bonus action to start suffocating one creature of their choice.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 5 (1d6+ 2) bludgeoning damage and the target is subjected to the adhesion trait.
Description
While the adherer is described as having a mummy-like appearance, it is not technically undead. Instead it is a humanoid covered with loose folds of white skin that is said to secrete an adhesive substance which causes weapons employed against it to be reduced in effectiveness and to stick to its body.
