Axiomatic Mind. The Archivist can’t be compelled to act in a manner contrary to its nature or its instructions.
Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If the Archivist fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance. The Archivist has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The Archivist makes two attacks, either with Fiery Talons or Arcane Beam. The Archivist can replace one of its attacks with a use of Spellcasting.
Fiery Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) slashing damage plus 13 (3d8) fire damage.
Arcane Beam. Ranged Spell Attack: +6 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) force damage.
Spellcasting. The Archivist casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 14):
At Will: detect magic, silent image, tongues
1/day each: hypnotic pattern, invisibility, shatter
Master of Souls. The Archivist intones a low, growling magical hum. Every creature within 300 feet of the Archivist must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. Non-Undead creatures that fail the save are Frightened of the Archivist until the song ends. Undead creatures that fail the save fall under the Archivist's control until the song ends. The Archivist must take a bonus action on it's subsequent turns to continue singing, and it can mentally command the undead under its control as part of the same bonus action. It can stop singing at any time. The song ends if the Archivist is incapacitated or dies.
