Actions

Multiattack.
Auroravex makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite.
Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 21 (2d10 + 7) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) radiant damage.

Claw.
Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 17 (2d8 + 7) slashing damage.

Radiant Breath (Recharge 5–6).
Auroravex exhales a 60-foot cone of radiant energy. Each creature in the area must make a DC 21 Constitution saving throw, taking 63 (14d8) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Undead and fiends automatically fail this saving throw.

Bonus Actions

Luminous Surge.
Auroravex can unleash a burst of celestial energy, shedding bright light in a 30-foot radius for 1 minute. Allies within this light gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.

Reactions

Blinding Retribution.
When struck by a melee attack, Auroravex can release a flash of radiant light. The attacker must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn.

Description

Auroravex, the Radiant Guardian, is a unique black dragon that has turned away from Tiamat and got blessed by an Aspect of Bahamut. Unlike its kin, it embodies light and justice, its dark scales infused with a shimmering golden hue. Its Radiant Type and untypical Immunities are a result of an ancient pact with an Aspect of Bahamut, who granted it the power.
It is a sworn protector of sacred lands and often found defending celestial ruins from demonic invaders.
