Magic Resistance. The achaierai has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Magic Weapons. The achaierai's attacks are magical.
Spring Attack. The achaierai can execute a standing long jump of 30 ft. and a standing high jump of 12 ft. with no penalty for landing in difficult terrain. In addition, the achaierai treats small or low-lying obstacles as normal terrain by using it's jump to move around the battlefield.
As a bonus action, the achaierai can take the disengage action.
Multiattack. The achaierai makes three attacks: two with its claws and one with its bite.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Black Cloud (Recharge 5-6). The achaierai releases a choking, toxic black cloud. Each creature within 20 feet of the achaierai must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half that amount on a successful one. Any creature that fails it's saving throw becomes confused and suffers from the effects of the Confusion spell for 3 hours. The area around the achaierai is heavily obscured for 1 round, and remains lightly obscured for 5 rounds unless dispersed by wind or a similar effect.
Description
Achaierai are massive, 15-foot-tall flightless birds that inhabit lawful planes of battle and are only occasionally encountered elsewhere.
Achaierais speak Infernal. They weigh about 750 pounds.
In close combat, an achaierai lashes out with two of its four legs and snaps with its powerful beak. It makes frequent use of its Spring Attack feat to strike quickly and then retreat out of range before an enemy can counterattack.
An achaierai’s natural weapons, as well as any weapons it wields, are treated as evil-aligned and lawful aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
