Spider Climb. The spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Strong Frame. Has advantage on any strength saving throw.
Lure. The spider uses corpses of previous meals to attract their next prey.
Pounce. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1d6 + 3 bludgeoning damage and the creature must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw, or be grappled by the Giant Wolf Spider.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 9 (2d8) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.
Jump. The spider can use up to 15 ft. of movement to jump in the air.
Description
This is a large wolf spider that lives in the canopy of trees and pounces on unsuspecting prey below. Over the time it took for them to become this large, they have figured out that if they don't consume all of their food and leave some out, it will attract more victims to satiate their hunger.
