Amphibious. The dragon can breathe air and water.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (2d10 + 10) piercing damage. Any creature who is dies as a result of this attack is revived one hour later as a pure lycanthrope.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d6 + 10) slashing damage. Any creature who is dies as a result of this attack is revived one hour later as a pure lycanthrope.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 24 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Breath Weapons (Recharge 5–6). The dragon uses one of the following breath weapons.
Fire Breath. The dragon exhales fire in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw, taking 71 (13d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Lycanthropic Pestilence. The dragon exhales noxious gas in a 90-foot cone. Each creature must make a DC 24 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save on each of its turns a creature can either use movement, an action, a bonus action, or a reaction. A creature who fails this save can remake it at the end of their turn.
Desperate Rebuke. When Anara's hit points are lowered to 100, she emits a powerful combination of her fire breath and Lycanthropic pestilence attacks in a 40 foot radius around her. She also flies up to 45 feet in the air without provoking opportunity attacks.
Dreadful Failure. When a non allied creature within 60 feet fails an ability check or attack roll Anara lets out a snide remark and gets advantage on her next attack roll or saving throw.
Allies of the Abyss. When Anara reaches half her current hit points, she uses her shadow lair action and creates duplicates of all enemies within 120 feet.
The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 17 (2d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Lycanthropic Warp. The dragon can magically teleport to space it can see within 40 feet.
Lair and Lair Actions
Anara's Lair
Nestled deep within the catacombs of Dragon's Peak, Anara resides in a prison of her own making. Created shortly after Grim bestowed his Lycanthropic curse, Anara knew her might would prose a grave threat to the realms. Sealed for a millennia deep within the mountain, her corruption extends throughout the landscape and distorts both rock and flesh.
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- The dragon glimpses the future, so it has advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws until initiative count 20 on the next round.
- One creature the dragon can see within 120 feet of it must succeed on a DC 20 Charisma saving throw or have lycanthropic duplicate summoned within 5 feet of them. This duplicate has 1 hit point, the appearance of a shadow and retains all of the creatures abilities. It obeys Anara's commands and is her ally.
Regional Effects
The region containing a legendary gold dragon’s lair is warped by the dragon’s magic, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Whenever a creature that can understand a language sleeps or enters a state of trance or reverie within 6 miles of the dragon’s lair, the creature is subject to visions of gargantuan gnashing teeth and the sound of a deep, raspy, gurgling breath echoing throughout dark chasms.
- Waves of sickly green fog surround the region for 6 miles, the fog does not obscure anything but strange whispers can be heard throughout it alluding to Anara's fate.
- Silver within 1 mile of Anara's lair rusts and decays as if millennia's have passed. The effect ceases when the silver is out of range.
If the dragon dies, these effects end immediately.
