Defensive Magic. When the Beholder Golf Ball would bludgeoning damage, it instead takes no damage and produces one random effect from the list below.
-
Charm. Until the start of the Beholder Golf Ball's next turn, all other Beholder Golf Balls will magically be attracted to it. If one is thrown, hit, or otherwise moved, the Beholder Golf Ball will go towards this Beholder Golf Ball instead of the intended direction of where it was heading
-
Paralysis. Until the end of its next turn, this Beholder Golf Ball remains frozen in place and cannot be moved by any means, similar to the effects of an immovable rod.
-
Fear. Until the start of the Beholder Golf Ball's next turn, all other Beholder Golf Balls will magically be repulsed from it. If one is thrown, hit, or otherwise moved, the Beholder Golf Ball will go away from this Beholder Golf Ball instead of the intended direction of where it was heading.
-
Slow. Until the end of its next turn, this Beholder Golf Ball, if thrown, hit or otherwise moved, will move half the distance it would usually travel, as its flight speed magically halves and then is pulled down to the ground.
-
Enervate. The Beholder Golf Ball sends a wave of lethargy into its striker. They have disadvantage on all Strength checks until the end of their next turn.
-
Telekinetic Push. If thrown, struck or otherwise moved, when the Beholder Golf Ball lands, it strikes the floor with psychic power, which allows it to push all other Beholder Golf Balls within 5 feet of it 5 feet away.
-
Sleep. The Beholder Golf Ball puts its striker to sleep until the end of their next turn. The target cannot be awoken other than by magical means.
-
Petrification. The Beholder Golf Ball turns to nonmagical stone until the end of the striker's next turn, meaning it can take bludgeoning damage without any effect occurring.
-
Disintegration. The Beholder Golf Ball corrodes the area within a five feet square of where it lands, turning the ground into difficult terrain and also giving disadvantage to any creatures that try to strike any other Beholder Golf Balls stuck in the ruts the corrosion creates.
-
Self Destruct. The Beholder Golf Ball disappears in a puff of smoke, and is considered dead.
