Quantum Existence.
The Aethermite exists in multiple timeframes simultaneously. At the start of each non extra turn round, roll a d6:
-
On a 1–3: It takes its turn normally.
-
On a 4–6: It takes an extra turn at the end of the current round.
Lightborne Form.
Any creature that starts its turn within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn.
Radiant Pulse.
Ranged Spell Attack: +18 to hit, range 120 ft., one target.
Hit: 88 (16d10) radiant damage. A creature reduced to 0 hit points by this attack is disintegrated in a flash of light, leaving behind only equipment.
Aether Singularity (Recharge 6):
The Aethermite releases the core of its divine energy in a single, unstable radiant burst. Each creature of its choice within 120 feet must make a DC 24 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 180 (20d12) radiant damage, is knocked prone, and is banished to a radiant demi-plane for 1 minute (no save on return unless immune to banishment). On a success, they take half damage and remain. The terrain in a 30-foot radius becomes difficult terrain made of hardlight fragments until the end of the Aethermite’s next turn.
Stellar Shift.
The Aethermite folds through starlight, teleporting up to 120 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
Lightfold.
When targeted by a spell or attack, the Aethermite may teleport to any unoccupied space within 60 feet and become invisible until the end of its next turn.
Eclipseflare (1/Day).
If reduced below half HP, the Aethermite unleashes a burst of blinding light. All enemies within 60 ft. must make a DC 22 Dexterity save or be blinded for 1 minute.
Description
The Aethermite Ascendant is a paradox: a cosmic being of immense power compressed into a seemingly insignificant, glowing, insectoid form. Originally created to serve as a guardian of celestial ley-lines, the Aethermite evolved beyond its design through millennia of exposure to raw planar energy. Though its size is small, its body radiates blinding radiant light and quantum-like fluctuations, making it nearly impossible to strike or even perceive clearly.
Its Special Action, Aether Singularity, channels the collective radiant force of every dying star it has ever absorbed, collapsing space-time in a single point to banish darkness, cleanse corruption, and momentarily halt entropy itself—at a cost.
Despite its frightening might, the Aethermite remains peaceful, acting only when cosmic balance is at risk.
