Traits

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). When Penyaaploo fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.

Amphibious. Penyaaploo can breathe air and water.

Tentacles. Penyaaploo has 8 tentacles, each of which has 12 AC, 35 hit points, and vulnerability to slashing damage. A tentacle is severed when it drops to 0 hit points.

Spiked Skin. Any creature that touches Penyaaploo or makes a melee attack against her takes 7 (2d6) piercing damage. If a creature is grappled by Penyaaploo, it takes this damage at the start of each of its turns.

Actions

Multiattack. Penyaaploo makes two tentacle attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage

Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (4d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 18). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained and Penyaaploo cannot use her tentacle to attack another target. Penyaaploo has 8 tentacles, each of which can grapple one target.

Crush. All creatures grappled by Penyaaploo must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, taking 26 (6d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

Acid Juice (recharge 5-6). Penyaaploo fires pineapple juice in a 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Reactions

Penyaaploo has 8 tentacles and can make an opportunity attack for each tentacle she has.

Legendary Actions

Penyaaploo can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The ascendant regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Verdant Growth. Plants become overgrown in a 20 foot radius centered on a point Penyaaploo can see. This area becomes difficult terrain and is heavily obscured until the start of her next turn.

Withering Decay. Deathly energy gathers on a creature Penyaaploo can see within 60 feet of her. The creature must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 13 (2d12) necrotic damage and be unable to regain hit points until the start of Penyaaploo's next turn.

Ingrain (Costs 2 Actions). Penyaaploo's regains 20 (3d8 + 4) hit points. Her movement speed during her next turn is halved.

Description

When an island tribe of Kuo-Toa began to worship a pineapple tree as a god of death and inevitability, Penyaaploo was manifested. She is a very minor and comparatively weak god (due to the small number of kuo-toa that worship her), but possess far enough power to destroy intruders that wish to harm her followers. The aspect of her power takes the form of a huge octopus with flesh formed of pineapple.
