Amphibious. The angler bear can breathe air and water.
Lure. When a creature begins it's turn within 40 ft of the angler bear, the angler bear may force it to make a Dc 13 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature must immediately use all of it's base movement to walk towards the angler bear, stopping when it is within 5 ft of it. It uses the fastest route, but will not walk into obvious danger (such as a visible trap or an open pit). If it cannot find a clear route to the angler bear, it simply does not move. The creature can still use it's actions or bonus actions during it's turn.
Multiattack. The angler bear makes three attacks; one with it's bite and two with it's claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d12 + 5) piercing damage. The target makes a Strength contest against the bear. On a failure, the target is knocked prone and considered grappled by the angler bear. It may repeat the contest at the beginning of it's turn, ending the grapple on a success. The angler bear cannot bite targets other than the one it is grappling.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d8 + 5) slashing damage.
Distortion (Recharge 5-6). The angler bear causes it's form to become blurred and displaced, making it harder to see and attack. Attacks against the angler bear have disadvantage, and it has advantage on stealth checks. Whenever the angler bear takes damage or becomes the target of a spell, it must make a Wisdom saving throw with a Dc of 13. On a failed saving throw, the effect ends.
Description
The terrible angler bear resembles an ordinary grizzly bear in shape, but it's skin is an inky, slimy black, with glowing, colourless eyes and a large, angler fish-like lure dangling from a stalk protruding from it's head. It's body is covered in frills like a fish, and it moves with eerie quiet despite it's size.
Angler bears are creatures of myth that haunt frozen lakes and underwater caves, their mere existence a warning to travelers who dare to wonder what that light might be...
