Unsettling cry. Creatures targeted by Lunge must Succeed a Wisdom Saving Throw: DC13 or become Frightened. A creature that succeeds on the Saving Throw is immune to Unsettling cry for 24 hours.
Unstable form. When defeated, their bodies explode for 14 (4d6) Fire damage and inflicts the Burning condition. All creatures within 10 feet must make a Dexterity Saving Throw: DC13 taking half damage on a success and avoids Burning.
Multi-Attack. The Mutant makes two attacks, using Lunge or Explosive shot but not both.
Lunge. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) Slashing damage. The Mutant leaps through the air swiping at the target, landing 10ft behind it. This is not considered in its total movement for the turn and does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Explosive shot. Ranged Attack: +6 to hit, range 60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 4) Bludgeoning damage. Hit or miss, the shot then explodes. The target and each creature within 5 feet of it must succeed on a Dexterity Saving Throw: DC13 or take 4 (1d6) Fire damage.
Description
(Monster from the 1996 Tomb Raider game)
Twisted remnants of Atlantean bioengineering, Crawling Mutants skitter unnaturally fast on malformed limbs, their flesh torn and skinless, revealing raw muscle and sinew. Driven by pure malice, their distorted bodies burst with unstable energy, making them as dangerous in death as they are in life. Their keening cries unsettle even the bravest souls before they lunge or hurl volatile projectiles at their prey.
