Mutagenic Resilience
Valcana has resistance to poison and necrotic damage. She has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned or charmed.
Hunter’s Mark (1/Short Rest)
As a bonus action, Valcana can mark a creature she can see within 90 feet. For 1 hour, she deals an extra 1d6 damage to that creature whenever she hits it with a weapon attack.
Blood Echoes
Whenever Valcana drops a creature to 0 HP, she gains temporary hit points equal to 10 and can move up to half her speed as a reaction.
Unnatural Agility
She can take the Dash or Disengage action as a bonus action.
Presence of the Mutant Huntress (Recharge 5–6)
Each creature of her choice within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of their next turn. Creatures frightened this way also take 2d6 psychic damage.
Multiattack
Valcana makes two katana attacks or one katana and one Mutagenic Slash.
Mutated Katana (Melee Weapon Attack):
+8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 11 (1d10 + 6) slashing damage + 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.
If the target is below half HP, she deals an extra 1d6 damage.
Mutagenic Slash
A distorted, tendril-laced swing.
Each creature in a 15-ft cone must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d8 necrotic damage on a failure, or half as much on a success.
Creatures that fail are blighted, causing their speed to be halved until the end of their next turn.
1. Shadow Step (Recharge 4–6)
Valcana teleports up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space she can see that is in dim light or darkness. Her next melee attack before the end of the turn is made with advantage.

2. Blood Focus
Valcana channels the lingering blood energy of the battlefield. She gains advantage on her next attack roll this turn and ignores resistance to necrotic damage until the end of her turn.

3. Hunter’s Step (1/Turn)
Valcana moves up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
“She glides across the battlefield like a ghost, always just out of reach.”
4. Feinting Slash
Valcana makes a deceptive motion toward a target she can see within 5 feet. That creature must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or grant advantage on all attacks against it until the end of her next turn.
“With a twitch of her wrist and a fake-out strike, she opens her prey to a fatal blow.”
5. Black Veil Evasion (Recharge 5–6)
Until the start of her next turn, Valcana gains resistance to all damage from opportunity attacks and cannot be targeted by reactions.
“Her body warps briefly into a semi-corporeal blur, untouchable by mortal timing.”
6. Adrenaline Rush (Once per short rest)
Valcana immediately ends one condition affecting her (e.g., frightened, paralyzed, charmed) and gains 10 temporary hit points.

Description
Once a renowned tracker of mutagenic threats, Valcana Lassandria was a beacon of hope in a world slowly succumbing to corruption. Elegant, cunning, and ruthlessly efficient, she hunted the twisted creatures that emerged from tainted lands with precision and purpose. Her reputation was built not just on skill, but on an unshakable will—until she went after something too great to kill.
Valcana's final hunt led her to the ruins beneath Cael’Shar, where the corrupted remnants of a fallen celestial named Midir slumbered. In seeking to destroy it, she was instead changed. Not fully consumed, but not fully spared, Valcana returned from that place fractured in body and mind—part warrior, part monster, and wholly unpredictable.
Her once-pristine elven features are now shadowed by the marks of mutation: vein-like tendrils pulse beneath pale skin, her eyes gleam with unnatural light, and her katana—once a simple blade of steel—is now laced with blackened sigils that bleed rot with every swing. Though she still speaks with the voice of a protector, her actions are driven by a warped sense of justice and an obsession with eradicating "threats" before they rise. To her, even heroes are dangerous if they stand too close to the truth.
Valcana is neither fully villain nor victim. She is a product of her failure—and of something ancient still whispering in her thoughts.
