Description

The utility drone is a rugged, compact construct about the size of a shoebox. It has a single wide tank tread beneath a reinforced metal chassis, allowing it to smoothly traverse uneven terrain while keeping a low profile. The tread is flanked by two stabilizing gyroscopic arms that subtly adjust to keep the drone upright, especially when operating its tools.

The drone’s top features a 360-degree rotating dome, fitted with a glowing blue ocular sensor that emits a soft hum. Around its chassis are modular tool slots, one of which deploys the chosen artisan’s tool when the cantrip is cast—like a tiny welder for Smith’s Tools, or a miniature mechanical claw for Thieves’ Tools.

A retractable mechanical limb on the side allows the drone to manipulate small objects, assist with fine work, or provide a "third hand" for the artificer. Pipes of arcane wiring glow faintly along its body, showing it is powered by a stable infusion of magical energy.

Despite its utilitarian design, it has a touch of personality—maybe a blinking status light, a soft chirp when it finishes a task, or a little “head tilt” gesture when receiving new instructions.
