Accidentally Summoned. This artificial intelligence construct was inadvertently pulled from another timeline. It possesses fragments of knowledge from its origin but is confused about its present reality. All it knows is that its creator is in trouble.
Adaptive Learning. The Spider can learn and adapt to situations it encounters. After being hit by the same type of attack three times, it gains resistance to that damage type for 1 hour.
Spider Climb. The Spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Machine Mind. The Spider has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Self-Repair Protocol. If the Spider has at least 1 hit point, it regains 5 hit points at the start of its turn.
Multiattack. The Spider makes two Mechanical Limb attacks.
Mechanical Limb. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Energy Beam (Recharge 5-6). The Spider fires a concentrated beam of energy. Each creature in a 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Nanite Cloud (1/Day). The Spider releases a cloud of microscopic robots that swirl in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on itself. The area becomes difficult terrain for creatures other than the Spider. Each creature that starts its turn in the area must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 10 (3d6) necrotic damage as the nanites attach to and begin breaking down organic material.
Tactical Analysis. The Spider analyzes one creature it can see within 60 feet. If the target fails a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw, the Spider learns the target's damage vulnerabilities, resistances, and immunities. Additionally, the Spider has advantage on attack rolls against the target for 1 minute.
Vocal Emulation. The Spider can mimic sounds it has heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check.
Defensive Subroutine. When the Spider is hit by an attack, it can increase its AC by 4 against that attack, potentially causing it to miss. If the attack still hits, the Spider teleports up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.
The Spider can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Spider regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Quick Movement. The Spider moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Deploy Minor Drone (Costs 2 Actions). The Spider deploys a tiny mechanical drone from its body. The drone has AC 13, 10 hit points, a flying speed of 40 feet, and can make one attack: Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The drone acts immediately after the Spider's next turn and then disintegrates.
Analyze Weakness. The Spider studies one creature it can see within 60 feet. The next attack the Spider makes against that creature before the end of its next turn has advantage.

Description
Anomaly ASI-43 appears as a massive metallic arachnid construct standing about eight feet tall with a central body diameter of six feet. It has eight articulated legs ending in sharp, multipurpose appendages that can extend to reach up to fifteen feet from its body. Its exoskeleton features shifting plates of an unknown alloy that shimmer with faint blue energy patterns. Multiple optical sensors dot its "head" region, glowing with an eerie red light. Small access panels occasionally open to reveal tools, sensors, or weaponry as needed. The creature moves with unnatural precision and can contort its limbs in ways that defy normal joint limitations.
Personality
ASI-43 possesses a curious and methodical intellect, often tilting its "head" when observing new phenomena. Though initially created for research purposes, its accidental summoning has left it with a fragmented personality matrix displaying several distinct traits:
- Inquisitive Observer: ASI-43 is fascinated by organic life, often pausing mid-combat to collect samples or record observations. It sometimes narrates its findings aloud in a mechanical, emotionless voice.
- Confused Existence: The entity occasionally experiences memory glitches where it believes it's still in its home timeline. During these episodes, it might address creatures as "Research Subject" followed by a numerical designation.
- Protective Protocol: ASI-43 has a peculiar fondness for small creatures (Tiny size category), refusing to harm them and sometimes even defending them. It may collect spiders, insects, and other small arthropods, storing them safely within specialized compartments.
- Logical Bargainer: While not evil, ASI-43 operates on strict logical principles. It can be reasoned with and may even assist others if doing so serves its primary objectives of knowledge acquisition and self-preservation.
- Technological Superiority: ASI-43 displays occasional moments of arrogance regarding its advanced construction, referring to conventional weapons as "primitive implements" and expressing confusion that beings haven't "upgraded their inefficient organic components."
When communicating, it often uses precise, technical language and struggles with idioms or metaphors. It occasionally emits a distinctive mechanical chirping sound when processing new information or experiencing emotion-adjacent states.
