(The exceptions are anything held in the wearers hands, i.e. unequipped weapons, armour and goods.) (Armour bonuses may still be retained)

Traits

Alternate form. Any saving throws in this form have a +5 Con and +3 Dex.

Spellcasting. The Blessed Dragon form is unable to cast complex spells. The wearer can only cast previoulsy learned cantrips, this may count as a bonus action.

Evolution: Upon reaching certain levels, the player gains different bonuses;

  • Level 9: The player may now make 2 attacks, consisting of any of the above, alongside a bonus attack, per turn.
  • Level 12: The player may make 2 attacks, consisting of any of the above, alongside a bonus attack, per turn.
  • Level 20: The player may make 3 attacks, consisting of any of the above, alongside a bonus attack, per turn.

Primeval instinct. The longer the wearer remains in this form, the more likely they are to succumb to their base instincts.
After 5 turns the player is obliged to leave this form. For each following turn in the Blessed Dragon for the player must make a Wisdom saving throw depending on the player's level.
On any failed saving throw the player must begin/continue to act on the dragon's 'natural instinct' , this includes, but is not limited to;

  • Blind rage: The player may continue to attack party members once foe have been defeated.
  • Hunger: The player may attack anything that appears within reach of the player.
  • Gold tooth: The player may avoid combat to loot/ investigate other structures.
  • Flight risk: The player may retreat leaving the party behind for any justifiable reason.
  • Pack instinct: The player should ignore any bonds with players, except extremely close ties, which may be activated in dire situations.
  • Pride: The player should react negatively and/or physically to any perceived insult to the dragon.
  • Hoarder: The player is unable to share any wealth or loot with other party members, and may act jealous over others gaining loot, now matter how insignificant.
  • Ignorance: The player is unable to communicate to party members, particularly via spell, writing, speech, or signage. The character only knows draconic for all immediate purposes.

The player may take a few turns to slowly adapt to the new behaviour. - The player must begin following the dragon's 'nature'  upon the first failed roll, however, this can be subtle.
The player shall continue to act on the dragon's 'natural instincts'  unless; a successful wisdom reversal roll is made (20 - the roll needed to pass) is achieved, the player is knocked unconscious, or it is reasonable for the player to retreat from the situation.situation.
The player may be enchanted or entrapped in this form, as per the DMs instruction.
In the case the above rules are unaplicable the form will reset once per long rest/8 hours (or per the DMs advice), to allow the player to continue with the campaign.
This is situation dependant and each instance is up to the discretion of the player and the oversight of the DM. (It is reccomended to keep the rolls private inorder to allow for the natural flow of the party).
