Luminous Armament.
Aeliryx’s weapon attacks are magical and deal an additional 2d8 radiant damage. On a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn.
Truth in Reflection.
Aeliryx knows if a creature within 30 ft. tells a lie. He has advantage on Insight checks.
Innate Spellcasting (Lightcraft).
Charisma is his spellcasting ability (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks). He can innately cast:
-
At will: Light, Minor Illusion, Detect Magic
-
3/day: Mirror Image, Invisibility (self only), Dispel Magic
-
1/day: Sunbeam, Wall of Light
Radiant Displacement.
While in bright light, attackers have disadvantage on the first attack roll they make each turn against Aeliryx.
Magic Resistance.
Aeliryx has advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects.
Multiattack
Aeliryx makes two attacks with his Luminous Blade or Radiant Longbow.
Luminous Blade (Greatsword Variant)
Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target
Hit: 14 (2d6 + 7) slashing damage + 9 (2d8) radiant damage
The blade shimmers with condensed starlight, burning those it strikes with divine judgment.
Radiant Longbow (Slaying Longbow Variant)
Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 120/480 ft., one target
Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage + 9 (2d8) radiant damage
If the target has 40 HP or fewer, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or fall unconscious (not die) until the end of its next turn or until it takes damage.
Used only against dangerous foes — a gentle, divine warning.
Starlit Blade (Flying Sword Variant)
Aeliryx can release his Luminous Blade to hover magically within 5 feet of him.
As a bonus action, he can command the blade to fly up to 30 feet and make one attack (as above), or return to his hand.
If the sword is affected by any spell or effect, it’s considered to still be under Aeliryx’s control. The blade falls if he is incapacitated.
Healing Touch (2/Day)
Aeliryx touches a creature, who regains 24 (4d8 + 6) HP and is freed from one condition: blinded, deafened, poisoned, or cursed.
Aeliryx’s touch feels like warm moonlight and the hush of a night sky.
The solar can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The solar regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Teleport. The solar magically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 120 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.
Searing Burst (Costs 2 Actions). The solar emits magical, divine energy. Each creature of its choice in a 10-foot radius must make a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) fire damage plus 14 (4d6) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Blinding Gaze (Costs 3 Actions). The solar targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. If the target can see it, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until magic such as the lesser restoration spell removes the blindness.
Description
Veyrunn – Star-scholars of Vaeklor, dreamers and seekers.
- Theme: Light and Reflection
- Appearance: Tall, silver-skinned beings with eyes like twin moons. Their bodies shimmer with a faint glow, as if made of reflected starlight.
- Abilities: Could manipulate light itself — bending illusions, becoming invisible, burning enemies with concentrated beams.
- Legacy: After the Culling, the Veyruun fragmented into secretive bloodlines. Some believed their descendants are today's greatest illusionists or light mages.
- Personality/Culture: They were proud, distant, and believed themselves to be perfect mirrors of Selakh's "first breath." Many refused to hide, and were wiped out early.
- They were well liked by Vaeklor as the Veyrunn’s physical appearance reminded them of their domain
This is Aeliryx. The only remaining Veyruun that is now acting as a secret guard of Vaeklor, his saviour. Just like his saviour, Aeliryx is quite self absorbed and can be distracted with that or boasting about his status involving Vaeklor. He hasn't needed to fight off anyone in centuries but that doesn't mean he'll give up and allow just anyone to pass him and make their way to meet his beloved saviour Vaeklor.
