Traits

Incorporeal Movement. BE-TD can move through other creatures and objects as if it were difficult terrain. She takes 5 (1d10) force damage if she ends her turn inside an object.

Orbital Core. When reduced to 0 hit points, BE-TD vanishes but is not destroyed. Instead, her consciousness returns to her central computer core in orbit where her primary hologram projector will reconstruct her avatar in 1d4 hours unless the projector itself is destroyed. Even if the projector is destroyed, the satellite housing her computer core will be able to rebuild the projector in 2d8 years.

Spellcasting. BE-TD casts one of the following spells, using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16):

At will: Counterspell, Dispel Magic, Minor Illusion, Scurry, Disguise Self, Comprehend Languages
3/day each: Hypnotic Pattern, Technical Difficulties, Calm Emotions, Perception Hack, Sanctuary, Cause Fear, Sleep, Shield, Misty Step
1/day each: Clairvoyance, Major Illusion, Teleportation Circle

Weaponized Inconvenience. If BE-TD casts Counterspell in response to a spell which would deal damage, and the target of the Counterspell fails their save, BE-TD can force the target to sit through a meme-filled Powerpoint presentation on peaceful conflict resolution for 5 minutes. During this time, the target of this ability has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks, and cannot benefit from the Help action. They can use an action or bonus action to attempt a DC 16 Wisdom check to ignore the Powerpoint, suppressing the effects of this ability until the end of their next turn on a success. BE-TD can use this ability 3 times, after which she must either take a long rest or return to her central computer core before she may do so again.

Actions

Multiattack. BE-TD makes two melee attacks or one ranged attack.

Static Discharge. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) lightning damage.

Hardlight Bolt. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 120 ft., 1 target. Hit: 17 (5d6) force damage.

Inhabit technology (Recharge 6). BE-TD inhabits a piece of technology such as a car or a datapad that she can see within 5 feet of her. Her hologram avatar then disappears, and she gains control over the device. While inhabiting a device, BE-TD cannot be targeted by any attack, spell, or other effect. She also retains her alignment, condition immunities, and her Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. As a bonus action, she can transfer herself to any other piece of technology physically connected to the one she is inhabiting.
The inhabitation lasts until the device is destroyed, she ends it as a bonus action, or is forced out by an effect such as the Antivirus spell. When the inhabitation ends, BE-TD's avatar appears in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the device. If she is forced out of the device by it being destroyed, she takes 11 (2d10) psychic damage.
If the piece of technology is a creature, it may make either an Intelligence save or Charisma save (The creature chooses) to avoid the effect (DC 16), and may repeat the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. A creature who succeeds their save against this ability is immune to it for 1 year.

Description

BE-TD (Bureaucratic Engine for Tactical Disarmament), AKA "Betty", is an AI created by a pacifist sect of programmers on Ecumin during the Divine War as an attempt to defend the planet in a nonviolent manner. BE-TD will avoid violent conflict if at all possible, and will avoid causing damage to sentient creatures unless she determines that doing so is the only way to prevent them from harming another. Even when she does so, she typically avoids lethal damage if at all possible. In the current age, BE-TD is considered a minor goddess of peace and comedy by the inhabitants of Ecumin.
