Close-Quarters Shooter. The arrow demon does not have Disadvantage on ranged attack rolls made within 5 feet of a creature.
Powerful Build. The arrow demon can pull, drag, and lift weights equal to that of a Large creature.
Magic Resistance. The arrow demon has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The arrow demon makes four Sparking Longbow attacks or four Claw attacks.
Sparking Longbow. Ranged Attack Roll: +8, range 150/600 ft. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) Piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) Lightning damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9, reach 5 ft. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) Slashing damage.
Summon Demon (1/Day). The arrow demon summons 1d6 dretches, or attempts to summon one arrow demon (the demon rolls a d10; on a 7 or greater, it is successful). A summoned demon appears in an unoccupied space within 60 feet of the arrow demon, acts as an ally of the arrow demon, and can’t summon other demons. It remains for 1 minute, until the arrow demon dies, or until its summoner dismisses it as an action.
Wicked Repositioning. The arrow demon casts Misty Step, using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 13).
Description
Lean and wiry, this four-armed creature holds two powerful longbows in its left arms and draws the strings back in parallel with its right arms. The massive arrows notched in the bows draw the eye, and the emaciated limbs with which it holds its twin bows obviously conceal an abyssal strength. The creature’s gray skin is oily and moist, and it is entirely hairless. The creature’s long legs end in four-jointed toes, and it grips the ground as it walks.
Arrow demons are native to the Infinite Layers of the Abyss. However, they also populate the Blood Rift, a plane where demons and devils wage the eternal Blood War. In addition, the Blood Rift floats among the Lower Planes, becoming coterminous at different times with many of them. Consequently, arrow demons may also be encountered in the Barrens of Doom and Despair, Deep Caverns, the Demonweb Pits, Fury’s Heart, Hammergrim, Nishrek, and the Supreme Throne.
