Traits

Darkvision (60ft). Billywigs can see in darkness as if the darkness were a dim light, and dim light as if it were bright for up to 60ft.

Faster than the Muggle Eye. The Billywigs can fly so fast it is almost impossible for the untrained eye to see them. The Billywig consequently possesses advantage on any Dexterity (Stealth) checks made against creatures who do not possess proficiency or expertise in the Wisdom (Care for Magical Creatures) skill.

Actions

Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 1d4+4 piercing damage. The target must also make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save the target is Stunned as the venom of the Billywig sting makes them feel severely giddy for a duration of 10 minutes. If the target fails their saving throw by 5 or more they are additionally levitated as though the Billywig had cast Levitate on them. This levitation remains in effect for 10 minutes also.

Description

Billywigs are brilliant blue magical bugs, that prove to be a nightmare for some but a common sight for witches and wizards in Australia. Billywigs are fast little insects rarely noticed by Muggles whose stings induce giddiness and, in some cases, brief bouts of levitation. They are often captured and used as components in potions, and a few candies, enjoyed by the magical community.
