Description
Undead Warden of a Forgotten Rite
Once a holy sentinel bound to protect sacred relics, the Blighted Guardian was twisted by Strahd’s corruption into a vessel of unholy power. Its spectral form flickers with fading traces of divine energy, now laced with malevolence. Now clad in phantasmal armor and wielding a blade forged of memory and sorrow, the Guardian is cursed to remain in eternal vigil over the unfinished ritual in Strahd’s crypt.
It drifts soundlessly, its presence felt as a sudden chill or pressure in the air. The gem-like eyes glow faintly red, echoing the pulse of the corrupted Holy Symbol of Ravenkind it once protected. In battle, it fights with unrelenting focus, its attacks draining vitality and resolve from its foes. Despite its corrupted state, something within it still yearns for purpose—making its wrath all the more tragic.
