Traits

Legendary Resistance (4/day). If Mogis fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. Mogis has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Special Equipment. Mogis carries the great axe Wrathbringer.

Divine Nature. Mogis doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep and his form can not be changed against his will.

Actions

Mogis makes three attacks, two with Wrathbringer and one with crushing grasp.

Wrathbringer. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 30 ft., one creature. Hit: 20 (3d12 + 18) slashing damage. Additionally, if the target is missing any of its hit points, it deals 1 extra die of damage and 1 additional die of damage when the enemy's hit points are below half their hit point maximum. You can roll two additional weapon damage dies when determining the extra damage for a critical hit with a melee attack. Additionally, attacks made with this weapon only deal lethal damage.

Crushing Grasp Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 45 ft., one creature. Hit: 20 (6d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage. Whenever a creature is hit by this attack, they must make a DC 25 athletics/acrobatics check. On a fail, the creature is restrained and considered grappled by Mogis.

Bonus Actions

Boiling Blood. Mogis marks half of his lair to be purged of all life. Half of the lair begins to boil with fonts of blood until the end of Mogis's next turn. Any creatures in the half of the lair still marked by Mogis take 10d10 fire damage as the room erupts.

Reactions

God of Vengeance. When Mogis is dealt damage by a creature, he can mark the creature with a sigil of revenge until the end of his next turn. When a creature marked this way is dealt damage by Mogis, Mogis rolls damage die twice and uses the higher roll.

Brutal Retaliation. When Mogis is dealt damage by a creature, if the damage was more than 100 points on that creatures turn, Mogis may mark the target with a sigil of revenge and immediately make one attack against the creature that dealt damage to him.

Legendary Actions

Mogis can take 4 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Mogis regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Bloodthirsty Blade (Costs 1 Action). Mogis makes one melee attack with Wrathbringer.

Vengeful Spirits (Costs 2 Actions). Mogis casts the spell Spirit Guardians or Blade Barrier at 7th level.

World Shatter (Costs 3 Actions). Mogis strikes the ground with his axe causing the very earth to crack and shake. All creatures in Mogi's lair if touching the ground must make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 6d10 bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. A creature takes half damage and is not knocked prone on a success.
