Pack Tactics. The Heox has Advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the Heox’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally doesn’t have the Incapacitated condition.
Apex Scavenger. The Heox has Advantage on attack rolls against a target weighting more then itself. Plus attacks against those targets, additionally rolls 1d20, and when a 20 is rolled, the Heox takes the item the target uses the least. Adding the items weight to the Heox.
Killer of Kin. The Heox Doubles any damage that would be delt to a smaller version of its own species.
Fiend Of Poison. Targets affect by this Heox's poison receive poison damage once at the start of the turn, and once at the end. Additionally, any poison damage this Heox would receive is instead turned into healing, only happening once per turn.
Poisoned Multiattack. The Heox makes two attacks, using Bite or Scratch in any combination. It can apply 1d8 Poison Damage to any one attack this way. This attack can only be used once every 2 turns.
Bite. Melee Attack Roll: +5, reach 5 ft. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) Piercing damage.
Scratch. Melee Attack Roll: +5, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) Slashing damage.
Description
An Adolescent Heox, is a hound-like creature in the Middle stages of its life. The main features of a Heox are its serrated 3 jaw mouth, that can split open widely. Which they use to grab and tear, or swallow targets. A Adolescent Heox is mostly armored, with skin only visible on the legs. The Adolescent Heox is mostly seen with a diluted pink-green skin, and gray scaling, that darkens with their age.
The Heox are scavenger hounds, that live in underground Mound/Burrows. Often using pack tactics to prey on lesser, smaller animals in and around their territories. Younger Heox are known to be very reckless, not knowing the dangers on the world, and often getting into fights with other younger Heox. With age the Heox learns to hunt effectively, using its darker colors to hide under the cover of night, not fearing creatures of larger sizes, using swarm ambushing tactics to overwhelm opponents.
An adventurer myth has been said that Heox often hoard gems or sparking items in their lairs and or stomachs because they can't digest metals.
Lair and Lair Actions
All Heox in a "Heox Lair", gain the Packs Defense. trait. Pack Defense: Creature gain an additional 10ft of movement, and gain 1 additional attack after a successful attack. Only if there is 2 additional Heox within 25ft, or if there is 4 or more Ally Heox in the lair.
