Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Vabus fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Evasion. If Vabus is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, Vabus instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.
Sneak Attack. Vabus deals an extra 7 (2d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of Vabus that isn't incapacitated and Vabus doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Magic Weapons. Vabus's weapon attacks are magical.
Spellcasting. Vabus is a 10th-level spellcaster. Vabus's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 24, +16 to hit with spell attacks). Vabus requires no material components to cast its spells. Vabus has the following bard spells prepared:
Cantrip (at will): friends, vicious mockery, prestidigitation, thunderclap
1st level (4 slots): charm person, sleep
2nd level (3 slots): blindness/deafness, crown of madness, invisibility, shatter
3rd level (3 slots): fear, hypnotic pattern, tiny hut
4th level (3 slots): polymorph, dimension door
5th level (2 slots): dominate person, awaken
MulitAttack. Vabus makes three attacks, two Rapier and a Crossbow.
Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (1d8 + 8) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) psychic damage.
Crossbow, hand. Ranged Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d6 + 8) piercing damage.
Vabus can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Vabus regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Cast a Spell (Costs 1–3 Actions). Vabus expends a spell slot to cast a 1st-, 2nd-, or 3rd-level spell that she has prepared. Doing so costs 1 legendary action per level of the spell.
Weird Insight (Cost 1 Action). Vabus targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must contest its Charisma Deception check against the Vabus's Wisdom Insight check. If the Vabus wins, it magically learns one fact or secret about the target. The target automatically wins if it is immune to being charmed.
Spinner of Lies (Cost 3 Actions). Each target, in a 30 ft cube centered on a point Vabus can see within 30 ft, becomes paranoid and untrusting of everything in the square including allies.They regard everything/everyone as not to be trusted. This effect lasts 10 rounds.
