Outer Tentacles. The Cave Kraken has at most 5 outer tentacles that extend to a maximum of 50 ft from the maw. Outer tentacles have 20 hit points (separate from the maw's overall health). Each time an outer tentacle is destroyed the maw suffers 5 points of damage.
Maw. The center of the Cave Kraken is a giant toothed maw. This part of the creature is represented by the monster's hit points. If the maw is not destroyed, the creature is still alive.
Multiattack. The Cave Kraken makes an attack with each of its intact tentacles and its maw or it uses its Confounding Mist.
Confounding Mist(Recharge 5-6). The Cave Kraken emits a fine mist from each of it's massive maw. The mist hovers in the air for one round and affects a 30 foot cone. Each creature within the affected area must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be under the effects of the Confusion spell. Affected creatures can make a new saving throw at the end of each turn. If a creature succeeds their saving throw, they are immune to this effect for 24 hours.
Tentacle Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 50 ft., 1 target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage. Target is grappled (escape DC 15) and restrained until the grapple ends.
Maw Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 16 (3d8 + 3) piercing damage. Creatures who were grapple by the Cave Kraken and then hit with a Maw Attack are swallowed.
