Void Armament: The Void Knight utilizes Voidcrafted versions of his weapons and armor. All weapon attacks count as Magical and deal additional Umbral damage.

Mark of the Abyss: Once per Round at initiative 20, the Void Knight designates a creature on the battlefield. This target is Void-Touched for the duration of the round:

Void-Touched

  • The creature's exact location is known to the Void Knight at all times.
  • The creature takes an additional 4d8 Umbral damage from Void Knight melee attacks
  • The Void Knight gains advantage on one attack roll against the creature
  • If a creature succeeds a DC18 CON save at the end of a turn in which they are Void-Touched, they are immune to this effect for 1 minute.

Abyssal Allure: When the Void Knight occupies space, the world warps toward the Absence it creates. All attempts to teleport within 60 feet result in the attempting creature being redirected to the nearest available space in front of the Void Knight. Flying creatures within 120 feet have their movement speeds halved unless flying towards the Void Knight.

Entropy Field: The Void Knight emits an aura (radius 15) in which all healing effects less powerful than Greater Restoration and Revivify are nullified. Any attempts to heal a creature within this aura must succeed a DC20 CON save. On a success, healing effects are halved. On a fail, the Void Knight heals for 1/3 of the healing amount instead of the targeted creature. This ability does not affect Cleric or Druid healing spells cast at 4th level or higher, nor does it affect Superior Healing Potions.

Actions

Inanus: The Void Knight's weapon, Inanus, takes the form it wills it into. As a bonus action, it may swap the form of the weapon to deal Slashing, Piercing, or Bludgeoning as its chosen type.

  • +17 to hit. On hit deal 3d8 + 8 damage of the current type, and half as much Umbral damage.
  • On a successful hit, once per round, Inanus reaches deep into the target's soul and attempts to introduce it to the Void within the Knight. On a failed DC15 WIS save, the targeted creature takes an additional 2d8 Void damage and suffers disadvantage on all attack rolls made against the Void Knight until the end of its (the creature's) next turn. On a critical fail of 1 or 2, the creature is instead Incapacitated as the Void attempts to leech their soul. This effect cannot be used against the same creature more than once within 24 hours.

Multiattack: The Void Knight may make up to 4 Attack Actions on its turn.

Bonus Actions

Void Tear: As a Bonus Action, when the Void Knight takes a weapon attack, it opens a tear in the fabric of reality. This tear behaves as a 10-foot wide, 60-foot long Beam of Void energy: all creatures in the way of the Tear must succeed on a DC18 Dexterity saving throw or take 4d8 Umbral damage as the rift moves through them. On a success, take half damage, and full damage on a failure.

Stomp: As a Bonus Action, the Void Knight slams its boot into the ground, sending tremors through the ground. All creatures within 15 feet must make a DC17 Dexterity saving throw: on a fail, they fall Prone and take 1d8 Bludgeoning damage. On a success, no effects.

Void Armor: The Void Knight has active Void Armor. When hit, attacker makes a DC18 Dexterity saving throw or takes 2d8 Umbral damage and is Grappled (escape DC 18).

Reactions

Umbral Redirection: As a Reaction, the Void Knight can corrupt Radiant damage dealt to it, converting it into Umbral damage. The creature which used Radiant to attack it instead takes the same amount of Umbral damage. (once per Encounter, may burn Legendary Actions x2 for another cast)

Legendary Actions

  • Grasp of the Abyss (1 action): Grapple a Void-Touched target within 10 ft without an attack roll (STR save DC18).

  • Shatterlight Blade (2 actions): Void Knight targets a creature in light or sunlight. That creature takes 6d10 Umbral damage and is Blinded until end of next turn.

  • Shearstep (1 action): Teleport up to 30 ft to a shadowed space or to a creature suffering from Void-Touched.

Mythic Actions

When reduced to 150 HP or fewer, the Void Knight enters its Abyssal Descent form. Its body fractures into shards of living Voidsteel, and its weapon and shield fuse into a jagged, impossible blade.

  • Void Tear becomes a cone (30-ft) instead of a line.

  • Void-Touched creatures now take 6d8 additional Umbral on hit.

  • Void Armor gains 2 uses per round.

Description

The Void Knight is a hulking, 10-foot tall Knight clad in Voidsteel Plate. The creature blurs slightly around the edges of its Obsidian like armor plating, almost as if this plane rejects its very existence. The world itself seems to fall inwards toward its immense weight, and the very ground beneath it sags slightly under the sheer mass of the entity that now walks upon it. It wields a massive, two-handed weapon, its form ever shifting, in its left hand. In its right is a tower shield standing nearly as tall as the creature itself... who could have let such a being into the realm? And how can it be stopped?
