Traits

Shadow Prowler. The Death Raptor has advantage on attack rolls, on surprise attacks. 

Soul Hunter. The Death Raptor can sense the life and soul of any creature, that is 5 miles away from it's location. However, they cannot sense any undead creatures within their general direction. 

Necrotic Adaptation. Any Attacks an enemy does attack the Death Raptor, that deals in necrotic damage will heal the creature instead of damaging it.

 Claws. +7 to hit, reach 5 feet, one target. Hit 11 ( 2d6+4) slashing damage. The target is grappled ( escape DC 15) The Raptor can only grapple one creature at a time in this manner. While grappling the target, it cannot make a claw attack against another creature.

Actions

Multiattack. The Death Raptor makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail. It can't make both attacks against the same target.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (4d12 + 7) necrotic damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 17). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the tyrannosaurus can't bite another target.

Tail Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Death screech. The death Raptor can release a deadly screech twice per day. All creatures within 60ft must make a constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature would drop to zero hp(Must beat a DC of 10). On a successful save, a creature would take 3d6 psychic damage.

Bonus Actions

Death Eater. If the Death Raptor makes an attack against an any undead creature, it can makes an additional bite attack that creature as an bonus action. 

Reactions

Leaping Attack. If the Death Raptor jumps at least 20 feet straight toward a target, and attack their target with their claws on the same turn. The target takes an extra 3 (1d6) slashing damage. If the target is an creature, it must succeed DC 12 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Legendary Actions

The Death Raptor can use 2 legendary actions attack an enemy, only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn.  The Death Raptor regains spent legendary actions twice a day.

Frightening Gaze (Costs 2 Actions). The Death Raptor stares wickedly into another creature, that it can see within 10 feet. The target must succeed a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw the gaze or be frightened for 1 minute. The target must repeat saving throws at the end of each of it's turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If the target has an successful saving throw or the effect ends, the target is now immune to the frightening gaze of the Death Raptor.

Mythic Actions

The Death Raptor only has 2 Mythic Actions.

Necrotic Surge (Costs 2 Actions): The undead beast releases a surge of necrotic energy in a selected area, causing damage and weakening any living creatures caught within it. This ability could drain life force or inflict ongoing +5 necrotic damage.

They are normally found near places with the presence of death or With the Necromancer, who created the Death Raptor. Sometimes you can find the Death Raptor, guarding lairs of a necromancer or a lich.

Lair Actions

Shifting Shadows: The lair becomes enveloped in ever-changing shadows, making it difficult for creatures to see or target effectively. This effect could impose disadvantage on attack rolls or give the monster advantage on Stealth checks.

  • Deathly Resilience: The undead beast becomes temporarily immune to certain damage types or conditions. This makes it harder to harm or hinder, requiring the players to strategize and adapt their tactics.

Regional Effects

  • Frightful Presence: The Death Raptor emanates an dark aura of fear, forcing each creature within a certain radius to make a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for a duration.

If the Death Raptor dies or submits, these effects fade over the course of 2d3 days.
