Agonized Scream. The Amalgama lets out a horrible wail of pain and anguish. Any creatures within 60 ft. of the Amalgama that can hear its scream must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of the Amalgama for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creatures saving throw is successful or the effect ends on it, it is immune to this ability for the next 12 hours.

Beg. Parts of the Amalgama look more human than others. These humanoid parts reach out to the nearest humanoid creature, begging to be saved. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or else be compelled to try and help. On a fail, the targeted creature tries to reach towards the Amalgama to pull the humanoid part out. This creature is then attacked by the Amalgama's Deceptive Teeth. On a success, the humanoid creature sees through the disguise and is immune to this effect for the next 24 hours.

Deceptive Teeth. If a creature is targeted by the special Beg action, the Deceptive Teeth then attack as a bonus action. A humanoid part of the Amalgama unhinges to reveal row upon row of sharp teeth. The attack for this has advantage if the targeted creature failed its Wisdom saving throw for the Beg action. The Amalgama then deals damage equal to its normal Bite damage with an additional 17 (3d10) necrotic damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The Amalgama makes two attacks, one with one of its mouths, and the other with one of its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 5 (2d4) necrotic damage. The creature is grappled (escape DC 14), with the Amalgama able to grapple as many creatures as the number of mouths it has (2d6). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained and takes 5 (1d10) points of piercing damage at the start of each of its turns.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) slashing damage.

Barbed Tongue. Ranged Weapon Attack +7 to hit, range 45 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10+4) piercing damage plus 5 (2d4) necrotic damage. The creature is grappled (escape DC 14). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained and takes 11 (2d10) points of piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. If a creature remains grappled by the Barbed Tongue for 6 rounds in a row, a unique poison kicks in, and the creature becomes paralyzed. The effects of the poison wear off as soon as the creature is no longer in direct contact with the barbed tongue. If the creature is grappled again, that creature has six rounds to break out of the grapple before the paralyzing poison kicks in once more.

Reactions

Plead (Recharge 3-6) . The Amalgama takes the opportunity to open all of it's mouths and scream for mercy. Any attacks aimed at the Amalgama have disadvantage for the next two rounds. Any creatures that were grappled by the Amalgama before this are now released.

Description

A horrific combination of various different beastial and humanoid creatures held together by unholy magic. White and pudgy in shape, red scars line the seams of this creature, almost like it was welded together. The humanoid parts of the Amalgama are especially deadly, using their charm from when they were alive to convince others to help it, only to reveal row upon row of deadly teeth. A terrible stench of rot and decay follows this creature wherever it goes.
