Pouncing Laceration.
If the prowler moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, the target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If prone, the prowler may make one Bite attack as a bonus action.
Mantid Flexion.
The prowler can climb difficult surfaces—including upside down on ceilings—without needing to make an ability check.
Serrated Limbs.
If the prowler grapples a target, the target takes 2 (1d4) slashing damage at the start of each of its turns until it escapes.
Multiattack.
The prowler makes two attacks: one with its Claw, one with its Bite.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) slashing damage.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) piercing damage.
Skitterburst (Recharge 5–6).
The prowler bursts into a blur of movement. It may move up to its full speed without provoking opportunity attacks, ignoring difficult terrain. If it ends this movement adjacent to a creature it hasn’t attacked this turn, it gains advantage on its next attack against that creature.
Description
The Mantis-Prowler is a Vivisec bioengineered chimera: the frame of a lion laced with exoskeletal joints, plated forelimbs, and bladed mantid claws. Its eyes are mismatched—one feline, one compound—and its mouth opens wider than a natural jaw should, exposing multiple rows of metallic-spined teeth.
It hunts in silence, crawling along walls or high beams, waiting for the moment it can descend and sever a spine with surgical grace.
