Zugzug smells so bad, even monsters question eating him. Beasts and unintelligent monsters have disadvantage on attack rolls against him if they rely on scent or taste.

Zugzug lifts a leg and releases a 15-ft cone of visible green gas.

  • DC 13 Constitution save

  • On fail: Take 2d6 poison damage and become blinded until the end of your next turn (tears from the sheer horror).

  • On success: Half damage, no blindness.
    Zugzug is immune to his own gas. Somehow?

Burp Bolt (Ranged Attack)

Zugzug builds up gas and lets out a compressed burp shot.
Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30 ft.
Hit: 1d8 thunder damage. If the target is concentrating, they make the save with a disadvantage.

Nimble Escape (Goblin Trait)

Zugzug can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of his turn.

SBD (Silent but Deadly)

Zugzug chooses a 5-ft square within 30 feet.

That space becomes lightly obscured for 1 minute and counts as difficult terrain for creatures other than him. Lasts for 1 minute or until a strong wind clears it.

Evasive Flatulence (Custom Trait)

Once per short rest, when Zugzug takes damage, he may use his reaction to let out a noxious puff, forcing any creature within 5 ft to make a DC 13 Constitution save or be poisoned until the end of their next turn. Zugzug can then move 10 ft without provoking opportunity attacks.

Personality {Smell-based Survivalist, "The Airbender" (but only calls himself that)}

  • Ideal: “Hide, stink, survive.”

  • Bond: He thinks Euphoria is the queen of the world and will defend her with gas-powered loyalty.

  • Flaw: If food is on the table, he will use stealth to get it, even during boss fights.

Role in Combat

  • Disrupts enemies with poison conditions and forced saves

  • Slips into tight areas to scout or escape

  • Can use obscuring gas to allow allies to flee or reposition

  • Not strong, but annoyingly effective in the right circumstances
