Chilling Aura. At the end of each of the elk's turns, each creature in a 10-foot Emanation originating from the elk takes 5 (1d10) Cold damage. Nonmagical liquids in the Emanation that aren't being worn or carried freeze.
Magic Resistance. The elk has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The elk makes two Ram attacks.
Ram. Melee Attack Roll: +11, reach 5 ft. Hit: 17 (1d12 + 11) Bludgeoning damage plus 6 (1d12) Cold damage. If the target is a Huge or smaller creature and the elk moved 20+ feet straight toward it immediately before the hit, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) Bludgeoning damage and has the Prone condition.
Winter's Breath (Recharge 5–6). Constitution Saving Throw: DC 17, each creature in a 60-foot Cone. Failure: 27 (5d10) Cold damage, and the target has the Restrained condition until the start of the elk's next turn. Failure by 5 or More: While Restrained, the target has the Incapacitated condition. Success: Half damage, and the target's Speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of the elk's next turn.
Description
The Blizzard Elk, also called the Galewind Moose, is a minor Calamity Beast taking the shape of a large elk or moose. Its entire body is a shade of pale green, coated with frost, and a swirling storm of snow and ice remains suspended between its antlers.
Season of Winter
The Blizzard Elk is the herald of Winter. When it arrives in Valley, the weather grows cold, snow begins to fall, and many animalfolk take to their burrows to rest and keep warm. When left unchecked, the Elk can bring winters cold enough to freeze the animalfolk, and must be driven off by those with the courage to brave the icy frost.
