Rip & Leap (Recharge 5–6). The Alloronyx leaps up to 20 feet in a straight line and makes a bite attack at the end of the leap. On a hit, the target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.
Pack Reflex. When an Allospinus or another Alloronyx within 10 feet of the Alloronyx is targeted by an attack, the Alloronyx can use its reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack by roaring and thrashing violently.
Description
Lore
The Alloronyx is the second-tier predator of the Allospinus Pack, a terrifying prehistoric hunting force that dominates any jungle, marsh, or floodplain it calls home. These agile hybrid dinosaurs combine the high-speed instincts of a Baryonyx with the raw strength of an Allosaurus. With razor-sharp claws built for slashing and a surprisingly effective swimming ability, Alloronyx often coordinate land-and-water ambushes alongside the larger and slower Allospinus alpha. Their social bonds are unusually complex for dinosaurs, suggesting magical enhancement or psionic development, likely the product of aberrant splicing from long-dead druidic experiments.
In combat, Alloronyx work like raptors—striking quickly, retreating, and harrying prey until the alpha can deliver the killing blow. Lone hunters have been known to single out weaklings, but in a full pack formation, they are a devastating force to behold.
