Blood Frenzy.
The Matron has advantage on melee attack rolls against a creature that is missing any of its hit points.
Flight Ambusher.
If the Matron flies at least 20 feet straight toward a target and hits it with a proboscis attack on the same turn, the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the start of the Matron's next turn.
Spider Climb.
The Matron can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Multiattack. The Matron can make three attacks: one with her proboscis and two with her claws.
Proboscis. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature.
Hit: 10 (1d12 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 11 (2d10) necrotic damage and have their hit point maximum reduced by that amount until the end of a long rest. The Matron heals for the necrotic damage dealt.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage.
Blurring Wings (Recharge 5–6). The Matron beats her wings rapidly, becoming a blur. Until the start of her next turn, she gains advantage on Dexterity saving throws and attacks against her are made with disadvantage.
Riposte Strike. When a creature within 5 feet misses the Matron with a melee attack, she can make one claw attack against them.
Description
Where the males observe and catalog, the females hunt. Towering over their kin with taut musculature and shimmering chitin, Anophelii Matrons are apex predators in the gloom of vine-choked jungles and eldritch ruins. Their proboscises can pierce plate, and their wings whisper death through dense air. Silent, swift, and always watching for weakness, they favor ambush and overwhelm over drawn-out battles — and rarely leave a victim with blood still in their veins.
