Divine Traits
Divine Awareness. Vaerazuun is aware of all creatures and objects within his domain. He cannot be surprised.
Reality’s End. When Vaerazuun casts a spell or uses an ability, it is considered to originate from all points within 60 feet of him.
Unmaking Aura. Creatures of his choice within 60 feet take 14 (4d6) force damage at the start of their turn as their essence unravels.
Multiattack. Vaerazuun makes three attacks with Nullfang, his unmaking blade.
Nullfang, the Blade of the Hollow End. Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 36 (6d8 + 9) slashing damage plus 27 (6d8) force damage. If the target is a creature concentrating on a spell, it automatically fails its concentration check.
Annihilation Pulse (Recharge 5–6). Vaerazuun releases a wave of pure null-energy in a 90-ft radius. All creatures of his choice in the area must make a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or take 63 (14d8) force damage and 63 (14d8) necrotic damage, be pushed 30 ft., and have one active magical effect end. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not pushed.
Oblivion Convergence (Once per Day).
This is the costly, cataclysmic ability you were imagining earlier.
Vaerazuun tears a hole in existence within 120 ft., creating a 40-ft-radius void for 1 minute.
-
All terrain, structures, and non-artifact magical effects in the area are destroyed.
-
At the start of each of his turns, all creatures within the void must make a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or take 90 (20d8) force damage and 90 (20d8) necrotic damage.
-
Vaerazuun takes half of the total damage dealt to creatures each round as feedback (this damage bypasses his resistances/immunities).
-
Once ended, the area becomes a Dead Magic Zone permanently unless restored by a wish-level effect.
-
Phase Step. Teleport up to 60 ft. to an unoccupied space.
-
Null Infusion (Recharge 4–6). Infuses Nullfang with destructive energy, causing the next hit to deal maximum force and necrotic damage.
-
Unmake the Strike. When hit by an attack, Vaerazuun can cause the weapon, projectile, or spell to partially unravel, halving the damage dealt.
-
Collapse the Path. When a creature moves more than 10 ft. within 60 ft. of him, Vaerazuun can destroy the ground under them, forcing a DC 20 Dexterity save or knocking them prone and halting their movement.
Legendary Actions (3/round)
-
Unmaking Fracture (Costs 2 Actions). As his mortal form version, but deals 10d8 force and 10d8 necrotic damage.
-
Void Lash. Rips space in a 20-ft line; all creatures must succeed on a DC 22 Dexterity save or take 6d8 force damage and be pulled 10 ft. toward him.
-
Gravitational Collapse (Costs 3 Actions). Creates a crushing gravity well in a 30-ft radius within 60 ft. Creatures must make a DC 22 Strength save or take 8d10 bludgeoning damage and be restrained until the start of his next turn.
