Traits

Magic Resistance. The zorbo has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Natural Armor. The zorbo magically absorbs the natural strength of its surroundings, adjusting its Armor Class based on the material it is standing or climbing on: AC 15 for wood or bone, AC 17 for earth or stone, or AC 19 for metal. If the zorbo isn’t in contact with any of these substances, its AC is 10.

Iron Gut. Zorbos are not picky, and regularly eat unknown roots and fungi as well as drink from lakes and lowland streams without fear of illness. Making them naturally heartier creatures. A Zorbo gains 5 temporary hit points after every short rest and are resistance to poison and acid damage.

Actions

Destructive Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d6 + 1) slashing damage, and if the target is a creature wearing armor, carrying a shield, or in possession of a magic item that improves its AC, it must make a DC 11 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, one such item worn or carried by the creature (the target’s choice) magically deteriorates, taking a permanent and cumulative −1 penalty to the AC it offers, and the zorbo gains a +1 bonus to AC until the start of its next turn. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a shield or magic item that drops to a 0 AC increase is destroyed.

Bonus Actions

Snack Break (2/Short Rest). A Zorbo is never without a treat in their pouch. As a bonus action, eat a poisonous poffin and gains 5 temporary hit points. Note if ingested by any other creature not resistant to poison damage. They instead must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save the creature takes 1d6 poison damage. On a successful save they safely regurgitate the poffin, taking no damage.

Description

Ever hungry, ever lazy, and even more so grumpy. A'Dor thrived in his slothful nature. His nearly impenetrable hide found little threat in the treetops where he lounges most days… and nights. But when he grew bored of eating acidic leaves and berries, he would wait and watch below for a meaty meal to foolishly graze beneath him. And then all he has to do is fall. If the animal was lucky, they would die from the sheer weight of the gluttonous drop bear. But if that didn’t do it, his razor sharp claws would give them a slow and painful death. And today’s meal was a goblin child picking mushrooms. But, this was no easy meal, a fate worse than death for A’Dor… he would have to put in effort. Even breaking a sweat, he found a formidable foe in this goblin. She tangled him in vines, dangled him from trees, tickled his bellow to the point he could not breath. He was utterly defeated. He surrendered to his demise, but only found a sweet berry placed in his mouth and a warm hand scratching his ears. And when she departed, he followed. Because where she was, surely food awaited. And A’Dor loves an easy meal. He was utterly domesticated.
