Earthquake immunity. The li lung is immune to all damage from magical or non magical earthquakes and any damage as an indirect effect of the earthquakes such as rocks falling on the li lung.
Roaring. During combat the li lung is constantly roaring in a way that sounds like very intense metal grinding on stone. All creatures within 60ft of the li lung is counted as deafened whilst still within the radius.
Magic Resistance. The li lung has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Innate Spellcasting. The adult li lung's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 17). The adult li lung can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
at will: invisibility, plane shift
3/day each: move earth, stone shape, wall of stone
1/day each: disintegrate, earthquake, flesh to stone
Detect thoughts. The li lung is constantly detecting the thoughts of creatures within 5ft of them. See the spell of the same name if a creature attempts to resist.
Alternate form. Lung dragons can assume any humanoid form of Small to Large size as a standard action. This ability is similar to the polymorph spell but allows only humanoid forms. Whilst in this form they have advantage on all checks to hide their true self.
Multi attack. The adult li lung uses its frightful presence and then makes a bite attack and two claw attacks.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 17 (2d8 + 9) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 15 (2d6 + 9) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 15 ft., 1 target. Hit: 14 (1d10 + 9) bludgeoning damage.
Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon’s choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon’s Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.
Wing beat (Costs 2 Actions). The li lung beats their wings against the ground and each creature within 20ft must make a dc 19 Constitution save or be knocked prone and pushed 10ft away. On a successful save a target is just pushed 10ft away.
Description
Unlike most dragons, they lacked scales, and instead were covered in a coarse black fur the texture of metal wire. Only young li lungs had scales, usually light green in color. As they grew older, the scales were shed and replaced with fur; usually by the time a li lung was a juvenile, the scales were completely gone. A li lung had an unusual appearance. Its body and tail resembled that of a lion, yet it had a face similar to a humanoid. Its tail was adorned with colorful feathers similar to a peacock. The li lung was the only lung dragon with wings.
A li lung's diet consisted of earth, stone, and minerals. They were particularly fond of consuming precious metals such as gold and silver. Li lungs made their home in labyrinthine caverns deep underground, far from civilization.
Within the Celestial Bureaucracy, li lungs controlled the powers of the earth.
