Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Zyrathax fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Storm Aura. At the start of each of Zyrathax’s turns, each creature within 10 feet takes 10 (3d6) lightning damage and must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or be pushed away from Zyrathax 10 feet and knocked prone.
Hover. Zyrathax can hover even when not moving forward.
Multiattack. Zyrathax uses Frightful Presence and makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target.
Hit: 24 (3d10 + 9) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) lightning damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 18 (2d8 + 9) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 30 ft., one target.
Hit: 20 (2d10 + 9) bludgeoning damage.
Frightful Presence. Each creature of Zyrathax’s choice within 120 feet that can see or hear it must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Lightning Breath (Recharge 5–6). Zyrathax exhales a bolt of lightning in a 90-foot line that is 10 feet wide. Each creature in the line must make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw, taking 88 (16d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Thunderstorm Roar (Recharge 6). Zyrathax lets out a deafening roar in a 60-foot radius. Each creature must make a DC 23 Constitution saving throw or take 45 (10d8) thunder damage and be deafened for 1 minute. On a failed save, a creature is also pushed 20 feet and knocked prone. On a success, the creature takes half damage and suffers no additional effects.
Zyrathax can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Zyrathax regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. Zyrathax makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. Zyrathax makes one tail attack.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). Zyrathax beats its wings. Each creature within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or take 21 (6d6) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Zyrathax can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Static Charge (Costs 3 Actions). Zyrathax releases a surge of electricity. Each creature within 20 feet must make a DC 24 Constitution saving throw or take 27 (6d8) lightning damage and be stunned until the end of their next turn.
