Traits

Legendary Resistance (3/Day, or 4/Day in Lair). If the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Flyby. Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemies reach.

Divine Majesty with Eyes of Blue. Now charged with divine draconic energy, the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon's majestic body of sharp, crystal-like scales is even more lethal than its regular counterpart.  As a result, all of its melee attacks deal an extra 4 (1d8) Slashing damage and 6 (1d10) Radiant damage on each successful hit.

Spellcaster's Bane. Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can sense the magical nature of spellcasters and has Advantage on all attack rolls against them.

The Inevitable Arrives. When the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon is defeated or slain, roll a d100.  On a 1-74, nothing happens.  On a 75-100, the Blue Eyes Jet Dragon appears and initiates combat.

Actions

Multiattack. The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can use its Frightful Presence, then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Attack Roll: +15, reach 15 ft. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) Piercing damage plus 11 (2d10) Radiant damage plus 4 (1d8) Slashing damage plus 6 (1d10) Radiant damage.

Claw. Melee Attack Roll: +15, reach 10 ft. Hit: 17 (2d8 + 8) Slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) Slashing damage plus 6 (1d10) Radiant damage.

Tail. Melee Attack Roll: +15, reach 20 ft. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) Bludgeoning damage plus 4 (1d8) Slashing damage plus 6 (1d10) Radiant damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Rage of the Blue-Eyed Dragon (1 Legendary Resistance). Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can choose to spend one charge of its Legendary Resistance to unleashes a concentrated blast of the divine draconic energy flowing through it against a singular target it can see within range of its breath attack.  This target makes a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 99 (6d12 + 60) Force damage on a failure and half as much on a success.  If this damage reduces the target to 0 Hit Points, it and everything nonmagical it is wearing and carrying are disintegrated into gray dust. The target can be revived only by a True Resurrection or a Wish spell.

When Blue Eye Alternative White Dragon uses this ability, it can no longer take any additional Legendary Actions, or Reactions and its Movement Speed is reduced to 0 until the start of its next turn.

Blast Stream of Destruction (Recharge 5–6). Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 22, each creature in a 120-foot-long, 10-foot-wide Line. Failure: 88 (16d10) Radiant damage. Success: Half damage.

Legendary Actions

Legendary Action Uses: 3 (4 in Lair). Immediately after another creature’s turn, the Blue Eyes White Dragon can expend a use to take one of the following actions. The Blue Eyes White Dragon regains all expended uses at the start of each of its turns.

Vision with Eyes of Blue (Costs 1 Action). The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Tail Attack (Costs 1 Action). The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon makes a Tail attack.

Wingbeat of Giant Dragon (Costs 2 Actions). The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 10 ft. of the dragon must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 15 (2d6 + 8) Bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.

Blue Lightning (Costs 3 Actions). The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon exhales a breath of lightning in a 30- foot cone. Each creature in that cone must make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 30 (10d6) Lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

Once a Blue Eyes White Dragon, this beast has been infused with divine, draconic energy, strengthening its already frightening powers even further.  Its body now crackling with this newfound energy, the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon now seeks a chance to pit its augmented power against worthy foes.... or really any foe in general.  Drunk on this divine strength, this Blue Eyes is even more prideful than usual and more concerned with defeating foes than protecting the weak.  Unlike its normal brethren, it will take every chance it can to engage in battle, even if it must bend its code of honor somewhat to justify it.  This makes it difficult to reason with peacefully, even by other Blue Eyes White Dragon or the Order with Eyes of Blue.  The only ones it will listen to are those who have faced its strength and prevailed, woe be it to those not prepared for its might.

Lair and Lair Actions

Due to its newfound battle lust and pride, the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon tends to be more solitary and wandering than its normal kin.  This makes it for more likely to be found/lair outside the Heavenly Heights that the species in normally fond of as well as less likely to be found amongst other Blue Eyes.  Like their normal brethren, they prefer power to material wealth, so any horde they accumulate will be less coin and jewels and more magic items and artifacts of power.  While usually bigger than a typical Blue Eyes White Dragon horde (due to their seeking of battles and conflict) the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon horde will still be smaller than those of other dragon species on average.  It will still at least contain one White Stone of Legend or White Stone of Ancients, if not multiple.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects:

  • The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon locks eyes with a creature it can see and compels them to face it head on.  The creature must make a DC 22 Wisdom saving throw or be Incited.  A creature under this condition must either use their entire available movement to move toward the dragon or use the Attack action or spells/abilities that inflict damage.  This effect lasts until initiative count 20 on the next round.
  • The majestic aura of the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon flares outward, demanding reverence and respect.  All creatures within 60 ft of the dragon must make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or be stunned into silence.  A creature under this effect cannot make any Bonus Actions or Reactions and any spells requiring verbal components cannot be cast.  This effect lasts until initiative count 20 on the next round.
  • A bolt of lightning flashes down from the sky to a point the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can see. Each creature within 5 feet of that point must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 44 (8d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Regional Effects

The region containing a Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon’s lair is warped by the dragon’s presence, which creates one or more of the following effects.

  • The hunger for battle the Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon possesses has started to bleed into the surrounding environment.  Wild creatures within the region will be more aggressive and likely to attack.  Sapient creatures who enter the region and fail a DC 15 Wisdom Save will also be more argumentative and prone to violence for the next 24 hours.  This Wisdom Save can be repeated at dawn.  A creature that succeeds on this save is immune to this effect until they leave the region for 24 hours.  The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can choose a select number of creatures to be immune to this effect.
  • All light sources seem to shine brighter and harsher within the region.  This light seems to be infused with the Blue Eyes essence, interfering with spellcasting.  Saving throws to maintain concentration on spells are made at disadvantage while within the region.  The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can choose a select number of creatures to be immune to this effect.
  • Rainless thunderstorms rage within 1 mile of the Blue Eyes' lair.  The constant flashes and booming thunder grants disadvantage to all perception checks made by those who enter the within range (excluding the Blue Eyes White Dragon).  The Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon can choose a select number of creatures to be immune to this effect.

If the dragon dies or moves its lair elsewhere, these effects end immediately.
