Elk Fey Heritage. As an Elk Fey, Balthazar is able to take on more than one form. He can choose between his humanoid or elk form as a free action.

Shadow Crossing. Balthazar finds the paths hidden in shadows, allowing him to cross between the Material plane and the Shaded Grove freely. Through these paths you can always find the Elk Sovereign and appear before her.

Elk Kin. Balthazar has the power to command elks in accordance with the Elk Sovereign's wishes. As a bonus action, you can choose to either summon elk within a 1 mile radius of your location or summon a number of Elk Spirits from the Shaded Grove, with a maximum equal to the Elk Sovereign's proficiency bonus.

Charge. In Elk form, if Balthazar moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a ram attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Actions

Elk Form. In elk form, Balthazar can take the following actions:

Ram. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one prone creature. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Elk Form. In human form, Balthazar can take the following actions:

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 16 4d4 + 6 magical bludgeoning damage.

Dark Shard. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 120/300 ft., 1 target. Hit: 24 (6d6 + 3) necrotic damage.

The following attacks can be used in either form:

Elk Stampede. Special: Balthazar orders the summoned elk spirits around him to charge in a direction, forming an area of effect of a 100ft long, 15ft wide line in a direction of his choosing. Any creature in the area must make a DC 20 Dexterity Saving Throw with disadvantage. On a failure, they take 68 (8d12 + 16) necrotic damage

Bonus Actions

Shaded Door. As a bonus action, Balthazar can create a 15ft tall, 10 ft wide door that leads to the Shaded Grove. Any creatures that the Elk Sovereign designates are allowed to pass through this door. Upon passing through the door, a creature is transported to the Shaded Grove and appears in the courtyard garden.

Description

Balthazar was once merely an elk. Then, for a brief time, he was bestowed upon Allora as a guardian and helper by Beshaba. It was a pleasant time and was sad that it should end all too quickly. At the same time, he knew that being with Beshaba had deeply hurt Allora and that the best thing for her would be to separate herself from the Elk Sovereign. Once more he became merely an elk, but every so often he would have dreams of days past of the time spent with Allora and her friends. Now, with the birth of a new Elk Sovereign, Balthazar is called forth once more and has transformed into an Elk Fey Familiar. This form now allows him to take the shape of a humanoid and, when he does so, he appears as a burly, hairy pale skinned man with black hair and obsidian eyes. For garments, he has chosen the outfit of a valet, though honestly it might be a little bit too tightly fitted for his human form. Nonetheless, he is determined to let nothing stand in the way of serving his new Sovereign.
