Description
Animantarx was a medium-sized nodosaurid ankylosaur from the Early to Late Cretaceous period of North America, about 10 feet (3 meters) long and weighing around 1,000 pounds (450 kg). This slow-moving, quadrupedal herbivore was covered in bony armor, including spikes on its shoulders and a highly domed skull, though it lacked the tail club characteristic of the later Ankylosaurus
