Description
Hunters of the Shifting Sands. Arraccats are apex predators that stalk the endless deserts of Nag’Haraz. Though their sleek, feline bodies suggest lions or panthers, their alien visage betrays them: six gleaming arachnid eyes, chitinous ridges along their flanks, and a long, barbed tail that drips venom. They lair in winding burrows beneath the dunes, emerging only to hunt under starlight when the desert grows cold.
Ambush from Below. Patient and cunning, arraccats wait beneath the sand, motionless for hours until prey approaches. When the moment comes, they erupt in a flurry of claws, fangs, and stinger, dragging victims below the sands before other creatures even realize the danger. Entire caravans have been lost to a single pack erupting from beneath the dunes.
Brood Mothers. Most packs are ruled by a Mother Arraccat—larger, hardier, and far more venomous than her kin. She directs her brood with guttural growls and clicking tail-strikes, coordinating their assaults with frightening precision. Mothers hoard gems and crystals in their lairs, drawn to the way they gleam even in the darkness underground.
Fearsome Reputation. The people of Nag’Haraz whisper of “sand demons” with many eyes, their stories half warning, half prayer. Even hardened raiders skirt the cracked canyons and dune-caves known to harbor arraccat dens, for once a brood has chosen a territory, it will hunt relentlessly until its prey is extinguished or driven far beyond the sands.
