Bonding. Dragonettes form intense bonds with family and friends, including friends of other species. They share deep telepathic connections with these bonded partners, similar to those felt by a mage and their familiar. The death of a dragonette causes 1d8 psychic damage to its bonded partner, and vice versa.
Built for Scouting. The dragonette ignores its Strength ability score modifier when making Athletics checks.
Compress. The dragonette can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide.
Tongue Pick. The dragonette can use its tongue to pick locks and disarm traps, as if its tongue was a set of thieves’ tools. It is proficient in using its tongue in this way.
Keen Senses. Cannot be surprised. The dragonette has advantage on ability checks that rely on sight, hearing, smell, and/or telepathic senses.
Amphibious. Can breathe air and water.

Teleportation. The dragonette can teleport as a Bonus Action to any place it can see or has recently (within this combat or 10 minutes if out of combat) seen, or an ally in telepathic contact can see or has recently seen, within 100 feet.
Quick Withdrawal. If the dragonette is the target of a successful melee attack, before damage is rolled it can use its Reaction to leap or fly out of the attacker's reach without provoking opportunity attacks.
Description
Although the Keyhole Dragonette is well known in urban environments and the Lantern Dragonette is beloved at libraries and universities, the so-called "common" Dragonette from which both evolved is all but unknown to most. The dragonette largely remains in the wilderness, private and isolated. With scales in all shades, horns, and a mouth of needlelike teeth, a dragonette is a nearly perfect tiny replica of its larger cousins.
Draconic Spy. Dragonettes have often served true dragons in reconnaissance roles. It is optimized for working as a scout or a spy: stealthier and more dangerous than the Pseudodragon, faster in the sky but more awkward on the ground. Some believe dragonettes were bred specifically for the purpose by true dragons.
Mixed Blood. Dragonettes do not keep their bloodlines as pure as true dragons. A nest of dragonettes is likely to contain a rainbow of colors, and Prismatic Dragonettes are more common (though still rare) than Prismatic Dragons.
