Diabolical Restoration. If the devil dies outside the Nine Hells, its body disappears in sulfurous smoke, and it gains a new body instantly, reviving with all its Hit Points somewhere in the Nine Hells.
Magic Resistance. The devil has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The devil makes two Hellsword attacks.
Hellsword. Melee Attack Roll: +8, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) Slashing damage plus 5 (1d10) Fire damage. The target is cursed to have Disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than the devil until the end of the devil's next turn. The devil can only have one target cursed this way at a time, and can extend the curse on a creature as a Bonus Action.
Whirling Blades (1/Day). Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 16, each creature in a 5-foot Emanation from the devil. Failure: 16 (3d10) Fire damage, and the target must repeat this saving throw at the start of each of its turns, taking 11 (2d10) Fire damage -- or 16 (3d10) Fire damage if the target is cursed -- each turn until it succeeds on this saving throw. Success: Half of initial damage only.
Burning Retribution. Trigger: A cursed target within 60 feet of the devil attacks a creature other than the devil. Response: The devil teleports to a space within 5 feet of the cursed creature and makes a Hellsword attack against the creature.
Description
The warder devil only appears as a stolen form, a mimicry of some warrior prince or battle-hardened maiden it chooses to copy, and thus is hard to distinguish from a tiefling. Warder devils are bodyguards for higher-ranking devils and can use their magics to shield their superiors.
