Description
An enormous beast used to draw enormous wagons or help where great strength is needed. About 40 feet long and 12 feet tall, weighing several thousand pounds. They are often fitted with a handler's howdah on their shoulders. Not usually aggressive, they move slowly and steadily, but if spooked can break into a run which will cause a great deal of damage to whatever is in their way.
Commonly known as sand dragons, they come in several forms ranging from bird-like creatures to huge titans. While sometimes found in the wild they are mostly domesticated as riding or draft beasts, and are also trained to be guard animals. All share a similar appearance; a dragon-like body with a scaled hide, a long snout with sharp teeth, a long tail, four legs with powerful claws and golden eyes with slit pupils. All have the intelligence equivalent of a domestic dog, and can be commanded mentally by an attuned owner.
