Mechanical Obedience. The Marcher cannot act outside its current chain of command. If left without orders for more than 24 hours, it defaults to patrolling a 60-foot radius and reporting intrusions to the nearest construct of higher rank.
Formation Protocol. While within 10 feet of another Marcher, it gains a +1 bonus to AC and attack rolls (stacks up to +3).
Lawful Broadcast (Recharge 5–6). As a bonus action, the Marcher emits a harmonic tone that grants all allied constructs within 30 feet advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened until the start of its next turn.
Clockwork Blaster. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d10 + 1) radiant damage.
(This “blaster” manifests as an internal prism-cannon channeling raw order energy, not gunpowder or plasma.)
Orderly Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 1) slashing damage.
Description
Lore
When the gears of Mechanus first turned toward expansion into the Material Plane, the great Modron forges devised a new kind of servitor — one not bound by pure logic, but by military obedience. Thus were born the Automaton Type-B1, known colloquially as Marchers. These clockwork soldiers resemble thin, bronze-plated humanoids built with exposed pistons and elongated limbs, standing in perfect formation and speaking in metallic monotones.
Each Marcher is powered by a fragment of planar law — a sliver of modronic will — that drives them to obey hierarchy and enforce order without question. Their minds are simple but efficient, and they can network with each other through harmonic signal tones, forming collective battlefield intelligence known as marching choirs.
Though individually weak, the Marchers’ true strength lies in their coordination. To the armies of chaos, they are the rhythmic, unending drumbeat of Mechanus’ conquest.
