Posted Oct 21, 2025I wanted to use the brown bear for my moon druid, but the lion stat block was just so much better. With the approval of my DM I created an improved version of the 2024 brown bear that can go toe to toe with the lion.
The average DPR for the lion, assuming advantage on both attacks due to pack tactics, versus an AC of 15 is 12.84.
The average DPR for the new brown bear, assuming advantage on the bite attack because the claw attack knocks the enemy prone, versus an AC of 15 is 12.77.
