Draconic Origin. The weredrake is related to a type of dragon associated with one of the following damage types (DM's choice): Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Poison. This choice affects other aspects of the stat block.
Drakothrope Hide. The weredrake is immune to nonmagical attacks unless they are made of a material associated with their draconic origin. For Acid it is copper, for Cold it is silver, for Fire it is gold, for Lightning it is bronze, for Poison it is steel.
Multiattack. The weredrake makes two attacks. It can replace one attack with a Bite attack.
Bite (Hybrid Form only). Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 5 ft. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) Piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 10 ft. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) Slashing damage.
Volatile Breath Weapon. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 15, each creature in a 30-foot Cone. Failure: 28 (8d6) damage of the type chosen for the Draconic Origin trait. Success: Half damage. Success or Failure: The weredrake must make a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw or take the same amount of damage dealt by the breath weapon, or half on a success.
Shape-Shift. The weredrake shape-shifts into a Large dragon-humanoid hybrid or it returns to its true humanoid form. Its game statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed.
Description
Weredrakes, Were-dragons, or Drakothropes as they are sometimes called, are rare humanoids with the ability to manifest partial draconic abilities. These creatures come about through curses, magical experimentation, or other bizarre collusions between humanoids and dragons. Unlike other wereshifters, weredrakes are often deemed lesser by their true dragon counterparts. They can manifest the elemental energy of their draconic counterparts, but have to suffer the consequences due to their flimsy humanoid forms.
