Fey Creature. The fox’s type is Fey, not Beast. It can be targeted by effects that affect fey.
Keen Hearing and Smell. Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on hearing or smell.
Fey Bond. The Ashen Fox is bound to its warlock. It disappears in a puff of ash when reduced to 0 HP and reforms at the warlock’s side after a short or long rest.
Mount Bond. You count as one size smaller for the purpose of riding the Ashen Fox. The fox can act independently, but will never willingly move more than 100 feet from you.
Emberstride. The fox can pass through areas of nonmagical fire without harm and leaves faint glowing pawprints. While mounted, you and the fox are immune to damage from nonmagical fires.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) piercing damage.
(If using “Investment of the Chain Master,” this attack is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks.)
Help (Command). The fox can use the Help action as a bonus action when commanded telepathically by its bonded warlock.
Trickster’s Guile (1/Short Rest). As a reaction, the fox can impose disadvantage on an attack roll against its rider by flicking its tail, creating a burst of embers.
