Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage.

Fire Breath (Recharge 5–6). The kendrath exhales fire in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Intimidating aura. One creature of the kendrath's choice that is within 90 feet of and aware of it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If the creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends, that creature is immune to the kendrath's Indimidating Aura for the next 24 hours.

Description

The odor of brimstone surrounds a kendrath, whose tall, pointed ears, rough, worn scales, large forearms, wingless body and long tail define its silhouette. Its raised nostrils vent smoke, and its eyes are dark crimson with stretched, thin pupils. Kendrathes are fond of alchohol; especially of barley beer. Tempting it with such things may change your fate, but do not count on it, for kendrathes are smart and weigh outcomes.
