Traits

Legendary. D'zarri has 3 legendary resistances that recharge per long rest.

Shapechanger. D'Zarri can use her action to polymorph into a form that resembles a female drow, a Large Giant Spider, or back into her true form. Her statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment she is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. She reverts to her true form if she dies.

Drow Heritage (Drow Form). While in Drow form, D'Zarri has the following traits:

  • Fey Ancestry: Advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put her to sleep.

  • Sunlight Sensitivity: Disadvantage on attack rolls and Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight while in direct sunlight.

Magic Resistance. D'Zarri has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Spider Climb. D'Zarri can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Web Walker. D'Zarri ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.

Innate Spellcasting (Drow/True Form). D'Zarri's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

  • At will: dancing lights, detect thoughts, web

  • 1/day each: darkness, dominate person, faerie fire

Champion's Divine Magic. D'Zarri is a 5th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). She has the following Paladin spells prepared:

Actions

Multiattack. D'Zarri makes two weapon attacks.

Slam (True/Drow Form). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 21 (6d6) poison damage.

Bite (Giant Spider Form). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or take 14 (4d6) poison damage, and is poisoned until the start of its next turn.

Web (Giant Spider Form, Recharge 5-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 16 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 10; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).

 

Bonus Actions

Divine Smite (1st-3rd Level Slots). When D'Zarri hits a creature with a melee weapon attack, she can expend one spell slot to deal extra radiant damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage.

  • 1st Level Slot: 2d8 radiant damage.

  • 2nd Level Slot: 3d8 radiant damage.

  • 3rd Level Slot: 4d8 radiant damage.

     

     

    If the target is a fiend or a celestial, the damage increases by an additional 1d8.

Mist Form. D'Zarri transforms into toxic mist or reverts to her true form. Any equipment she is wearing or carrying is also transformed. She reverts to her true form if she dies. While in mist form, she is incapacitated and can't speak. She has a flying speed of 30 feet, can hover, and can pass through any space that isn't airtight. She has advantage on Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution saving throws, and she is immune to nonmagical damage. While in mist form, D'Zarri can enter a creature's space and stop there. Each time that creature starts its turn with D'Zarri in its space, the creature must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the start of its next turn. While poisoned in this way, the target is incapacitated.

Legendary Actions

D'Zarri can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. D'Zarri regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

  • Shift Form (Costs 1 Action). D'Zarri uses her action to change into or out of her Drow Form or Giant Spider Form. If she changes to Drow Form, she can immediately cast the dancing lights cantrip.

  • Venomous Touch (Costs 1 Action). D'Zarri makes one Slam attack (if in True/Drow Form) or one Bite attack (if in Giant Spider Form).

  • Channel Smite (Costs 2 Actions). D'Zarri uses her Divine Smite feature on her next successful melee attack before the start of her next turn. She must expend a spell slot (up to 3rd level) to use this action.

Description

D'Zarri is the leader of the Handmaidens of Lolth. An order of 8 Paladin Drow who have devoted their entire being to Lolth. Their true state slowly is stripped further and further away from their Elvish origins to a demonic Yochlol. Upon death they continue to serve in the Demonweb Pits of the Abyss:

  1. Drow Form: Utilizing superior Charisma for spellcasting and Divine Smite against major threats.

  2. Giant Spider Form: Locking down multiple targets with webbing and poison while maintaining mobility.

  3. True Form: A mix of toxic touch and innate demon powers.

  4. Mist Form: Evasion, infiltration, and poisoning targets without direct combat.
