Traits

Regeneration. The wendigo regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point. If the wendigo takes acid damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the wendigo's next turn.

Grappler. The Wendigo has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it.

Unending Hunger. Although the wendigo is always starving, only growing hungrier with each meal, it does not need to eat, drink, or sleep to survive.

Terrible Oder. The wendigo emits a fowl and nauseating oder due to it's undead state. Any creature that moves within or ends their turn within 5 ft of the wendigo must succeed a DC 16 constitution saving throw, if they fail, they have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Mimicry. The Wendigo can perfectly imitate any animal sound or humanoid voices it hears, as loudly as it wants. Wendigo can emit a call for help or sounds of wild game to bait it's prey away from the group or settlement. If possible, Wendigo tries to stalk a group to learn voices of it's members before luring them to their doom. Though, in desperation, wendigo can confront a group head-on. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 18 Wisdom (Insight or perception) check.

Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If the Wendigo fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack. The wendigo makes three attacks, the first attack always has advantage.

Claws. Melee Weapon attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (2d12 + 9) Slashing Damage.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 29 (2d10 + 9) Piercing Damage. The target must make a DC 16 Constitution Saving Throw or begin to bleed out taking 8 (1d8) Necrotic Damage at the start of each turn for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Beast's Roar (Recharge 5-6). The wendigo emits a thundering roar. Each creature within 30 feet of the wendigo must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the start of their next turn. 

Drag. The Wendigo uses its movement to drag one or more creatures it has grappled up to 30 feet, ignoring difficult terrain and the weight of its victim(s).

Bonus Actions

Frenzied Strike. The Wendigo makes two attacks as a bonus action.

Detect. The Wendigo takes the Search action as a Bonus Action.

Reactions

Ravenous Relocation. As a reaction action to taking damage, the Wendigo can cast invisibility on itself before moving up to half it's movement speed without triggering an attack of opportunity.

Description

The Wendigo can be found stalking in the forests, plains, swamps, and mountain ranges these ancient Wendigo's can be found any where in the world though as they have lived for centuries if not longer. On average Wendigo are large slender humanoids and are very tall (12 feet tall) with large dagger like claws, sharp needle like teeth, and enormous stag antlers. However there is a chance for some to have unique appearances based on how they became a wendigo.

 

Lair and Lair Actions

 The wendigo's choice of lair is typically a cave, though some have demonstrated enough intelligence to build their own nest from fallen trees. While a wendigo is inside their lair they have advantage on stealth, athletics and acrobatics rolls. In addition to that, they can take the hide action as a bonus action and receive a +5 to all damage they deal.
